History Established in 2008, Markaz College of Arts and Science embarked on a mission to fulfill the aspirational vision of Jamia Markaz - one of India's largest Islamic universities - by committing to excellence in higher education and serving society. Founded under the educational philosophy of His Eminence Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, the college thrives within the nurturing environment of Jamia Markaz, aiming to equip the community with comprehensive knowledge essential for contemporary challenges. As a self-financed institution, we are recognized by the Government of Kerala, affiliated with the University of Calicut, and proudly bear the minority status accreditation by the Government of India.
Our campus is a dynamic hub of co-curricular and extracurricular pursuits. With a plethora of interdisciplinary activities, clubs to enhance artistic and linguistic skills, and an engaged teaching community, we ensure an enriched academic and personal growth environment for our students. The active NSS units instill a strong sense of national integration and social responsibility, while our moral classes cater to the spiritual well-being of our students. The college is a vibrant community benefiting from a multitude of intra and inter-departmental activities year-round.
